MP Shalwi: GNA al-Sarraj began making decisions uncontrollably

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

LIBYA – Faraj al-Shalwi, member of the Libyan House of Representatives, said that the Fayez al-Sarraj, head of the Tripoli-based Presidential Council, is acting alone uncontrollably, and his decision to spend 2 billion dinars was made to support the militias that control the western region, while the commanders of these militias are internationally wanted for crimes such as murder and theft.

In televised statements on Thursday, al-Shalwi considered that the spending of this money by the al-Sarraj Government was an act of looting and wasting of Libyans’ funds, as well as supporting criminal and terrorist militias.

“These funds spent by al-Sarraj pose a great risk of reaching terrorist organizations such as the so-called Islamic State, al-Qaeda, the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) and other groups outside the country,” al-Shalwi added.
