TRIPOLI – Spokesman of the General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA), General Brigadier Ahmed al-Mesmari, said on Saturday that LNA Air Force has conducted eight airstrikes in Tripoli which targeted militias.
Two airstrikes hit two separate militia camps called Al-Saadawi and Al-Rahba. Another airstrike hit a gathering of military vehicles in Al-Karamia area.
LNA’s warplanes also targeted the headquarters of the Presidential Council but the bombs did not explode. Another airstrike hit three military gatherings near the 60th Hosh area.
Two airstrikes hit the areas of Suwani bin Yadem and Al-Kasarat. Another airstrike hit the so-called Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous Operation Room militia at the eastern gate of Ghout Al-Ruman.
This comes days after the Libyan National Army (LNA) launched a military operation in Tripoli to push back against militias and terror groups which dominated the capital since the overthrow of Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
