The Address | Benghazi – Libya

TOBRUK – Prime Minister of the Interim Government, Abdullah al-Thani, said that the Presidential Council of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) has not made any achievements over the past four years, noting that it is under the influence of armed groups in Tripoli.

Speaking during a media interview, al-Thani said the Presidential Council has strengthened the armed groups in the capital.

“No solution can be reached in the presence of armed groups joined by terrorist groups in Tripoli,” he said, adding that that the “main solution lies in the extension of the Libyan National Army’s control over the entire Libyan territory.”
