Italy’s FM & U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham discuss Libya

ROME – Italy’s Foreign Minister, Enzo Moavero Milanesi, met on Tuesday with a delegation of the United States Congress led by Senator Lindsey Graham at the headquarters of the Italian Foreign Ministry (Farnesina) where discussions were focused on the situation in Libya.

According to a statement by the Italian Foreign Ministry, “the in-depth discussion reaffirmed the strategic importance for Italy of their consolidated transatlantic relations”.

Interlocutors also “reviewed the most relevant ongoing issues on the international scene, with a special focus on the situation in Libya and in the Mediterranean Basin, and on relations with China and Russia.”

Senator Graham was accompanied with Senators John Barrasso, Chris Coons, Ben Sasse and Congressman Michael McCaul.
