LNA explains reality of shooting civilian neighborhoods in Tripoli

The General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA) confirmed on Wednesday that terrorist groups controlling the capital Tripoli indiscriminately bombed a number of neighborhoods in the city late on Tuesday night.

“The General Command of LNA confirms that the terrorist militias, which control the capital, indiscriminately shooting with Grad rockets the outskirts of the city, ” said the Spokesman of LNA, Major General Ahmed al-Mismari.

The command condemned the night bombardment of the civilian neighborhoods, which caused the destruction of a number of houses in Al-Intesar and Buslim districts of Tripoli.

“The General Command condemns these acts of terrorism,” he said.

Al-Massmari expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and vowed to hold accountable the perpetrators of the terrorist acts and said that they are “known to us by name”.

He also expressed the hope that the Libyan people would be rid of the terrorist groups that control Tripoli, as they were disposed of in Benghazi and Derna in the east of the country.

At least four people were killed and four others were injured in the bombing, in addition to a number of houses damaged. Photographs on the Internet showed scenes of a number of rockets falling on some neighborhoods.

As long as the armed forces have confirmed since the start of the liberation of Tripoli to protect civilians.
