Salamé & Al-Sarraj discuss Security Council negotiations over Libya

TRIPOLI – The United Nations Special Envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salamé, held a meeting on Thursday with Head of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj, to discuss the latest developments in Libya.

According to a statement by GNA media office, Salamé and Al-Sarraj particularly discussed the negotiations of the Security Council meeting which Germany called for on Thursday.

Salamé stressed during the meeting the UN’s strong condemnation for all attacks targeting civilians and civilian buildings, which constitute a serious violation of international law and human rights law.
