TRIPOLI – A militant sanctioned by the United Nations Security Council appeared along side militias allied with the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) in a video circulated around social media websites in which he made threats against the Libyan National Army (LNA) in Tripoli.
Abd Al Rahman Al-Milad, nicknamed al-Bija, was Commander of the Coast Guard in Zawiya. He is directly linked to violent abuse against migrants and cooperating with migrant traffickers according to the UN Security Council.
