The Address | Benghazi – Libya
ROME – Italy’s Interior Minister, Matteo Salvini, told reporters on Tuesday that his country is ready to face any emergencies in Libya.
“We are ready to face any emergencies. We are working both at home and on the other side of the Mediterranean for peace,” he said during a press conference in the town of Pinzolo.
“A stabilized Libya means going back to talking about development, cultural and commercial exchanges,” he added.
Libya’s capital has been witnessing, since 4 April, violent clashes between the Libyan National Army (LNA) and militias affiliated to the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), after LNA’s General Commander Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar launched a military operation to liberate the capital.
