TARHUNA – Warplanes of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) conducted airstrikes in the city of Tarhuna on Saturday causing damages to residential homes and properties.

Tarhuna’s Municipal Council released a statement condemning “in the strongest terms” GNA’s airstrikes.

The city of Tarhuna, 65 kilometers to the southeast of Tripoli, has embraced the Libyan National Army (LNA) since the launch of its military operation in the capital. The city has been repeatedly targeted by GNA-funded militias ever since.
