The Address | Benghazi – Libya
TRIPOLI – Spokesman of the General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA), General Brigadier Ahmed al-Mesmari, said that there are new developments in the battle for Tripoli.
In a press conference on Monday, Al-Mesmari confirmed that LNA forces are launching an attack on various fronts in Tripoli on Tuesday in order to advance towards the heart of the capital.
The LNA spokesman did not disclose any further details regarding this upcoming attack.
Tripoli has been dominated by criminal militias and terrorist groups since the fall of late Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
The Libyan National Army (LNA), led by Fied Marshal Khalifa Haftar, launched a military operation in April 4 to eliminate those criminal and terrorist militias.
