Spokesperson for the armed groups fighting under the Tripoli-based government of Fayez al-Sarraj, Mohamed Gnounou, stressed on Thursday that they have reactivated old agreements with Turkey regarding military cooperation.
This came at a press conference held after a government meeting to discuss the developments in Tripoli.
Gnounou pointed out that they have asked Turkey and other countries, which he did not name, for assistance on matters. No further details were revealed.
He explained that “Libya” has reactivated old agreements with Turkey and also made demands on new matters.
He added that the Tripoli-based has spared no effort in communicating with “countries that support it.”
