MP Jeroushi calls for the trial of al-Serraj and Bashagha and asks Portugal to clarify its position on the mercenary pilot

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

A member of the National Defense and Security Committee of the Libyan House of Representatives, Tariq al-Jeroushi, called on the head of the unconstitutional presidential council, Faiz al-Sarraj, and Interior Minister Fathi Bash Agha, who are involved in bringing mercenaries to the court as war criminals.

“The recruitment of foreign mercenaries to kill Libyan citizens and bombard the cities is a war crime,” he said, pointing out that the Portuguese pilot, who was captured by the Libyan National Army yesterday, receives money from the Libyans to kill them.

“There are large numbers of mercenaries, who are fighting against all specialized air and defense items of the al-Sarraj government,” Jaroushi said.

“This in itself is a violation of UN Security Council resolutions,” he concluded
