The Address | Benghazi – Libya
“The interim government does not want to rule the country by force and does not plan for that,” said Foreign Minister Abdulhadi al-Huwaij.
“The interim government aspires to restore state institutions and to restore security and stability, and re-establish control over the country’s borders to end the immigration crisis and combat terrorism,” he told the Associated Press.
Al-Huwaij pointed out that the goal of the interim government is not the establishment of a military government, but a civil state elected by the people and respects human rights and be based on the rule of law.
The Foreign Minister stressed that the interim government wants to end the crisis, war, and divisions in Libya and this is the only agenda it has.
