GNA is political front for extremism, Interior Minister says

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

BENGHAZI – “The Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) has no real authority and is fully dependent on the authority of extremist groups and irregular forces,” said the Interior Minister of the Libyan Interim Government, Counselor Ibrahim Bushnaf.

“If GNA were to think better, the Libyan National Army (LNA) would be its natural ally to get rid of all that, not to be a political front for extremism,” the Minister said in a special interview with the al-Ittihad newspaper on Sunday.

LNA had launched its war on terrorism in Libya to end the presence of all extremist groups in the country, he added.

Bushnaf stressed the need to end everything that hinders the establishment of one state, pointing out that LNA’s mission continues until the achievement of these goals.
