“During the meeting, which was joined by French Ambassador to Moscow Sylvie Bermann, the sides discussed in depth the current situation in Libya with a focus on the importance of ceasing armed confrontation and establishing a sustainable inter-Libyan national dialogue in the interest of the country’s speedy withdrawal from the long-running crisis,” the statement said.
According to the ministry, Bogdanov reaffirmed Russia’s commitment to actively promote the political process in Libya in order to form united authorities capable of effectively solving urgent tasks on the country’s agenda, including the fight against terrorism.
