BENGHAZI – A young girl, Elham Mohamed Faraj El Fetouri, died of a landmine explosion near her home in the Bousnib area west of Benghazi.

Elham was killed while playing where she wanted to sit under the shade of a tree in front of her house to relieve her small body of the heat of the atmosphere, said al-Karama operations room of the Libyan National Army (LNA).

After hearing the sound of the blast, the father and uncle went out to the scene of the explosion, and after dust was gone, the girl was seen thrown to the ground soaked with blood,” the Room added.

The mine is one of the remnants of terrorist groups, most of which are fled to Tripoli and are now fighting with militias allied with the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA) after being defeated by LNA in Benghazi, the LNA operations room pointed out.

My daughter was a victim of terrorism and I took her right in advance when LNA eliminated the terrorists in Benghazi, the father was quoted as saying. God willing I will take my daughter’s full right when LNA eliminates those terrorists all in our capital Tripoli, he added.
