The Address | Benghazi – Libya
TRIPOLI – The Libyan National Army (LNA) forces are advancing in the battle fronts in Tripoli, seeking to free it from the grip of the militias that have been in control of the city for years.
LNA forces made advances in all fighting axes, most notably the Tripoli International Airport Road axes, thus causing the armed militias many losses, LNA Military Information Division announced.
The advances are still ongoing in light of the militia’s escape from their positions, the Division pointed out. It presented a video footage of the first moments of storming al-Ahiaa al-Barria area of Tripoli, controlling it, and cleansing it from militias, which include many locally and internatinally wanted terrorists.
The remnants of the Benghazi Shura Council, composed of members of the banned Ansar al-Sharia terrorist organization, have been planting indiscriminate traps and mines for two days in the homes and farms of the citizens of Wadi al-Rabia and al-Khalla areas in Tripoli, the Media Center of al-Karama Operations Room said.
These actions are a reproduction of their crimes in Benghazi, where innocent people continue to suffer from them until today, the Center added.
LNA is carrying out the operation to liberate Tripoli and the whole country from armed militias and terrorist organizations and to build the unified Libyan state on sound bases.
