Militias in Tripoli fighting LNA for survival, not being convinced of GNA, Italian journalist says

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

BENGHAZI – The people of Benghazi are trying to start and rebuild their city again to get out of the state of war and its aftermath, said the Italian journalist Vanessa Tomassini.

In Tripoli,  for the security situation, there are many groups that their subordination is unknown, but in Benghazi, there are specific security services, and also the social and psychological situation in the East of the country is more comfortable, Tomassini explained.

She stressed the need to inform public opinion in Europe that all militias that are fighting against the Libyan National Army (LNA) are not necessarily loyal to the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), pointing out that all the groups that met and united against LNA are not conviced of al-Sarraj and his GNA government, but they are fighting for their survival because they know that LNA victory means their end.
