TRIPOLI – Charge d’Affaires of the United States Mission in Libya, Natalie Baker, held a meeting on Friday with chairman of the Tripoli-based National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanalla.
According to U.S. embassy in Libya, Baker and Sanalla discussed the recent shelling in the capital which caused fire in the Tripoli Oil Clinic.
Baker has “emphasized the NOC’s neutrality as a vital national resource for all Libyans.”
Last week, fire broke out at the Tripoli Oil Clinic in Gharghour, southwest of the capital. An investigation by NOC found that the fire was caused by direct shelling of the facility. The incident did not result in casualties.
