Libyan Coast Guard says it rescued 92 migrants

TRIPOLI – Libyan Coast Guards said on their Facebook page that they have rescued 92 migrants aboard a rubber dinghy in distress some 55 miles off Gasr Garabulli east of Tripoli. Coast Guards said they rescued 77 men, 11 women and four children, all Africans except for two migrants from Bangladesh.

The migrants, according to the statement, ”were transferred to the maritime base of Tripoli where they received the necessary medical and humanitarian treatment before being taken to the hosting center against irregular migration of Tajoura”.
