The migrants, including two women and a baby, were arrested in Abu Kammash, a town 35 km west of Zuwara, as they were preparing to cross the sea toward Europe, according to a department statement.
The migrants were all in good health condition and had been provided with medical assistance, the statement said.
Legal procedures have been taken against them, it added.
