Coming from Libya, Italian Coast Guard rescues 38 migrants

LAMPEDUSA – The Italian Coast Guard rescued on Sunday more than thirty migrants whom reached Italian waters coming from Libya.

According to Italian newspaper La Repubblica, the migrants, some of them dehydrated due to the long stay at sea, were intercepted by a rubber boat of the coast guard of Lampedusa a few miles from the island.

20 men, 17 women and a child were on board. Most of them are from Ivory Coast, Guinea and Tunisia, La Repubblica reports.
