The Benghazi-based National Oil Corporation (BNOC) expressed its concern over what it described “the incorrect statements made by Mustafa Sinalla, [NOC chairman in Tripoli], who is not in charge of the sector’s management anymore, and who was resigned as chairman of the National Oil Corporation by the head of the interim government and the House of Representatives.”

The National Oil Company in Benghazi said in a statement that “the remarks made by Sinalla block the company’s main objective in maintaining the continuity of production and export operations on a regular basis, as well as the ability of the Corporation to meet its contractual obligations towards its international partners.

“The National Oil Company in Benghazi reassured its international partners that it is committed to maintaining the operation of oil operations in an efficient and regular manner,” the statement added.
