Erdogan: We are working hard to serve Turkey’s own interests in Libya

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

After sending advanced arms shipments to Islamist groups allied with Fayez al-Sarraj’s government in Tripoli, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the conflict in Libya was not just a local conflict, and his government is working hard there to serve Turkey’s interests in Libya.

Erdogan, who said he would do all he could to ensure that Islamist groups do not lose control of Tripoli, criticized foreign interference in Libyan affairs.

In a speech during his participation in the General Assembly of the Council of Turkish exporters in Istanbul, on Sunday, Erdogan said Turkey chose the path of fighting for its own interests and not just watch what is going on silently.
