NOC chairman holds talks with a number of U.S. officials during visit to Washington

WASHINGTON – The chairman of the Tripoli-based National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanalla, arrived in the United States capital yesterday where he held talks with a number of U.S. officials.

According to the Assistant Secretary of International Affairs, U.S. Department of Energy Ted Garrish, Sanalla met with DOE’s Matthew Zais “to confirm U.S. support for NOC as a non-partisan, technical agency – laying the foundation for cooperation and support of the Libyan people and its economy.”

The United States Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, was also present at the meeting.
