GNA’s FM meets with UN Secretary-General in New York

NEW YORK – Foreign Minister of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), Mohamed Sayala, met on Monday with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York to find a political solution to the current crisis in Libya.

Sayala said the meeting focused on developments on field and humanitarian situation in Libya, specifically in Tripoli.

The meeting also discussed the efforts being made by the Secretary-General’s envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, to halt military operations and return to dialogue.

The meeting touched on the Berlin conference and the preparations for it carried out by the UN envoy to Libya.
