LNA Spokesman: We are continuing our battle to defeat terrorism, Turkey transferred from covert to overt support for extremism in Libya

LIBYA – The Libyan National Army (LNA) and the Libyan people are continuing their battle to defeat terrorism, disband criminal militias, and collect weapons, confirmed the Spokesman of LNA, Major General Ahmed al-Mismari.

LNA destroyed Turkish aircraft, armored vehicles and command system, al-Mismari pointed out in a statement yesterday to the Egyptian newspaper; The Seventh Day.

 Al-Mesmari explained that Turkish support for terrorists and criminals for years was embodied in several forms, including support with weapons and equipment and facilitating the passage of terrorists to and from Libya, noting that Turkish agreements with al-Sarraj, head of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), and Erdogan’s statements are nothing but the transfer of this support from covert to overt one, in front of the International Community.

It is notewrthy that Turkish president Recep Erdogan hinted on Monday at the possibilty of sending Turkish troops to Tripoli if requested by GNA.
