The Address | Benghazi – Libya

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned against the continuation of foreign funding received by militias in Libya.

In an official statement today, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry has warned of the consequences of foreign financing that reaches militias inside Libya, stressing that “this threatens the national security of Egypt and Libya’s neighboring countries in general.”

The Libyan House of Representatives had accused Turkey and Qatar of financing extremist groups in Libya that allied with the Fayez al-Sarraj government in Tripoli, noting that the two countries had violated the Security Council resolution of imposing an arms embargo on Libya
