Egyptian, French presidents discuss intensifying efforts to combat militias, terrorist organizations in Libya

CAIRO – Egyptian Ambassador Bassam Radi, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, said that President al-Sisi stressed the principles of the Egyptian position aimed at restoring security and stability in Libya, and supporting counter-terrorism efforts and undermining the activity of armed militias.

The Egyptian President also stressed the need to put an end to illegal foreign interventions in the Libyan issue that would further exacerbate the situation.

For his part, President Macron stressed France’s endeavor to find a political solution in Libya,

It was agreed to intensify bilateral efforts as well as with international partners to work to resolve the current crisis in Libyan in a manner that includes all aspects of the issue.
