The Libyan House of Representatives has voted to reject the two memoranda of understanding between Ankara and Tripoli on defining the maritime borders and military cooperation between Turkey and Libya.

In Saturday’s session in Benghazi, the House of Representatives decided to cancel the memoranda of understanding between Ankara and Tripoli, and consider them as void, while members of the Council demanded that the head of the National Accord government, Fayez al-Sarraj, and his foreign minister, Mohamed Siala, be referred to the judiciary for “treason” by bringing Turkish troops to Libya.

The House also voted unanimously to mandate the Libyan National Army to disable all ports controlled by GNA militias that prepare them “to receive the Ottoman invasion of Libya.”
