HoR allocates 20 billion dinars budget for LNA

BENGHAZI – The Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) voted unanimously to allocate an emergency budget of 20 billion Libyan dinars to the Libyan National Army (LNA), to spend it on its war against terrorism, to be deducted from the 2020 budget.

HoR also voted, on the special session held Saturday in Benghazi, to authorize the General Command of LNA to disable airports, ports, and land ports under the control of the militias.

HoR announced its ratification of the political agreement, calling on the Security Council and the international community to withdraw recognition of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA).

It called on its members ti form a government of national unity or to amend the Interim Government to represent all spectrums of the Libyan people, and to declare it as the only legitimate government in the country, and to demand the United Nations to recognize it.

The House of Representatives voted unanimously to cut Libyan ties with the government of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
