The Address | Benghazi – Libya

CYPRUS – The Cypriot parliament unanimously condemned the decision of the Turkish regime to send weapons and troops to Libya, stressing that these acts violate Libyan sovereignty.

Parliament stated that the Turkish regime violates international decisions to send its weapons and forces to support the forces allied with the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA).

The Parliament called on the United Nations to monitor the implementation of the arms embargo imposed by the Security Council in Libya.

The Cypriot Parliament also expressed its unwavering support to Greece and Egypt, saying that these two countries are the most affected by the Memoranda of Understanding between the Turkish regime and GNA.
