UN Secutity Council to hold meeting on Libya today

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

NEW YORK – The UN Security Council is scheduled to hold a meeting on Libya on Wednesday to discuss the draft resolution submitted by Britain on a permanent ceasefire in Libya.

The draft resolution requests UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to submit proposals on possible mechanisms for monitoring the ceasefire, including contributions from regional organizations, in an implicit reference to the European and African Unions that could send crews to observe the armistice.
