HoR member: Pro-Muslim Brotherhood countries concerned by Libyan economic reform program held in Cairo

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

LIBYA – Member of the Defense and National Security Committee of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR), Dr. Tareq Al-Jaroushi said that the Libyan economic reform program held in Cairo raises the concern of the sponsoring and pro-Muslim Brotherhood countries, led by Britain, Turkey and Qatar, for fear of losing their interests and their dominance and influence over the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) and the National Oil Corporation (NOC) in addition to curbing them in managing the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA), HoR said in a statement on its official website.

Al-Jaroushi said any reform of the Libyan economy must be based on three rules:
The first is changing the heads of CBL, NOC, and LIA.
The second is moving these three institutions out of control and quagmire of terror and corruption militias.
The third is reform and restructuring of administrations for these institutions.

The Libyan economy cannot be reformed without these three principles, he said.

Al-Jaroushi concluded that the institutions of terrorism and corruption in the capital are these ones, and once their heads and place are changed, terrorism, corruption and militias will be eliminated, the war will end, security, prosperity and stability will prevail in our homeland Libya.
