On the sidelines of the Munich summit, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian called on Turkey to respect the conclusion of the Berlin Conference on Libya, which agreed on the cessation of hostilities in the Libyan crisis.

The leaders of the countries participating in the Berlin conference agreed not to interfere in the war in Libya, as well as to support the UN arms embargo on the country.

The UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salamé, had confirmed in late January that the United Nations had monitored the arrival of militants from Syria to Libya, while Turkish President Erdogan confirmed sending military experts to help the militias allied with the Tripoli-based government of “National Accord.”
