Participants in the Munich meeting on Libya on Sunday stressed the need to adhere to the conclusions of the Berlin conference on Libya held on January 19.

The participants also stressed the need for the conflict parties to adhere to the ceasefire. The recent violations of the cease-fire and arms embargo were discussed, especially in Tripoli, which witnessed during the past two days renewed clashes.

The meeting also welcomed “the progress made on the talks on more effective monitoring mechanism of the arms embargo on Libya,” underlining the need for the actors in Libya to reach a lasting ceasefire.

The participants also agreed to resume the meetings of the Libyan Military Committee on February 18 in Geneva.
