Stressing their support for LNA, Fezzan’s tribal leaders reject invitation by Tunisian president to hold meeting for Libyan tribes in Tunisia

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

FEZZAN – The dignitaries and tribal leaders of Fezzan region confirmed their complete rejection of the Tunisian president’s call to hold a meeting for the Libyan tribes in Tunisia.

The leaders said in a statement seen by the Address Journal, “We affirm our complete and unequivocal rejection of all the meetings that Qatar sponsor and fund or participate in.”

The statement demanded the expulsion of Qatar from the Tunisian arena, stating: “Its leaders (Qatar) are stained with the blood of the Libyans.”

The statement pointed out that Erdogan coordinates and exchanges information with the enemies of the Libyans, provides weapons to the Syrian mercenaries and works to strike peace and destabilize security and stability in Libya, noting that Qatar is the executor of all these operations.

The diginitaries and tribal leaders affirmed their support for the Libyan National Army (LNA) in eliminating the last hotbeds of terrorism in Libya.

The statement demanded the Secretary-General of the United Nations to change the UN envoy to Libya, Gassan Salame, because he does not respect the will of the Libyan people and works to exclude them from any arrangements, which complicates the crisis.

It is noteworthy that Tunisian President Qais Saeed discussed with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim Bin Hamad, the possibility of inviting a number of Libyan tribes to hold a second expanded meeting in Tunisia, which would be representative of all Libyan tribes.
