Egypt announces execution of terrorist Ashmawi, captured in Libya in 2018

CAIRO – Spokesman for the Egyptian armed forces announced the execution of the terrorist Hisham Ashmawy.

The Egyptian Military Court of Felonies sentenced Hisham Ashmawi on Nov 27 to death by hanging, after he was accused in the case known as “Farafra”.

The Egyptian army released a video of Ashmawy’s confessions.

On Monday, the Egyptian judiciary issued a new verdict on Ashmawy and 36 others of the terrorist organization “Ansar Beit al-Maqdis”, after they were convicted of terrorist acts.

The Egyptian judiciary also issued two final rulings, with the support of the two criminal courts’ rulings, to execute Ashmawy for his conviction in the“ Farafra ”and“ Ansar Beit Al-Maqdis III ”cases.

The Egyptian terrorist participated in fighting with terrorist groups in the city of Derna in Libya against the Libyan National Army (LNA), which captured him in October 2018 in Derna.
