BENGHAZI – The militias allied with the Tripoli-based Government of “National Accord” (GNA), headed by Fayez al-Sarraj, are preparing to launch a widespread attack on the Libyan National Army (LNA) units in all axes, revealed the Spokesman of LNA, Major General Ahmed al-Mesmari, on Sunday.
Al-Mismari pointed out that LNA General Command had received information from reconnaissance units confirming that criminal and terrorist militias backed by Turkish elements were preparing to carry out an attack on the positions of LNA forces in the capital, Tripoli.
Al-Mesmari said, in a post on Facebook, that the reconnaissance units of LNA General Command confirmed, after collecting and analyzing information about the mobilization of terrorist and criminal militias affiliated with al-Sarraj and backed by Turkish terrorist elements, that these militias were preparing to launch a broad attack on all axes of LNA forces.
LNA forces had previously launched several preemptive strikes to prevent the militias from striking their units in various axes.
