Tunisia’s FM & Italy’s ambassador discuss Libya, Coronavirus

TUNIS – Tunisia’s new Foreign Minister, Noureddine Erray, met on today with Italy’s ambassador to Tunisia, Lorenzo Fanara, to discuss bilateral cooperation, regional security, revitalization of investments and containment of the Coronavirus.

The meeting comes ahead of a future visit by Italian Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio, to the North Africa country.

The meeting was also the opportunity to discuss measures taken by their respective governments to curb the expansion of the Coronavirus. In this regard, the importance of promoting coordination and collaboration between the Tunisian and Italian authorities in the fight against this virus has been reiterated, leveraging on the relations between the two countries.

 The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss various regional and international issues of common interest, with particular attention to the situation in Libya.
