LNA Chief of Staff, Ministers hold emergency meeting for precautionary measures against COVID-19

BENGHAZI – Chief of General Staff of the Libyan National Army (LNA), Lt. Gen. Abdel-Raziq al-Nadhuri, held an emergency meeting in Benghazi with Interior Minister of the Libyan government, Ibrahim Boushnaf, and Health Minister, Saad Aqoub, to discuss precautionary measures to prevent Corona virus from reaching Libya.

Al-Nadhouri confirmed during the meeting, according to the Libyan channel, that 150 beds had been provided, and there was no reason for fear, hoping that travelers from abroad would return before next Thursday.

For his part, Minister of Interior confirmed the formation of a medical team to follow up on the developments of the situation regarding Corona virus disease, noting that all the work of the committees is submitted to the Prime Minister, Abdulla al-Thani and LNA General Commander, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar.

The Minister explained that a group of teams had been formed to follow up on the markets in the event of raising prices or storing commodity.

For his part, the Minister of Health confirmed during the meeting that all test results of the suspected cases of Corona virus infection completely free of the disease, pointing out that the final arrangements for al-Hawari Hospital in Benghazi would be completed today, Monday.
