TRIPOLI – The Interior Minister of the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), Fathi Bashagha, refused to undergo a Coronavirus test at Tripoli’s Mitiga Airport after returning from a visit to France and the United Kingdom, Egyptian newspaper Akhbar al Youm reports, citing anonymous sources.
Bashagha arrived at Mitiga Airport from France through Tunisia, accompanied by a ministry delegation.
According to Akhbar al Youm , as soon as they arrived at the entrance gate, a team from the Ministry of Health was waiting for him to conduct a temperature check and record their information as per routine procedure applied to all arrivals. However, the minister refused and asked his guards to lead the way and came out of the airport.
