NCDC: We have not recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya yet

The director of the National Center for Disease Control, Badr Al-Din Al-Najjar, has said that no confirmed cases have been recorded so far with the novel Coronavirus in Libya.

The director of the center stressed in a meeting with the mayors of Libyan municipalities on “the importance of coordinating the municipalities with the National Center for Disease Control, and the commitment to implement its plans to combat the disease, as it is the competent authority that deals with emergency situations.”

The meeting between the two parties also discussed ” obstacles facing the work of the municipalities and how they can be resolved by the Ministry of Health in terms of preparing the necessary capabilities for the work of medical staff and emergency teams within each municipality,” according to an official statement by the center.
