The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has announced a temporary suspension of its activities at the migration Registration Office in the al-Sarraj neighborhood and the Community Development Center in the Gurji neighborhood of Tripoli.

The action came in response to developments related to the emerging Coronavirus, according to a statement by the WHO office in Libya on Wednesday.

“In response to COVID-19, and in line with guidance from the Libyan authorities, we’re temporarily halting some activities. We hope to resume services as soon as we can,” UNHCR said on Twitter.
