COVID-19: Abandoned by GNA, Libyans stranded in Egypt and Tunisia receive accommodation from the Libyan Government

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

BENGHAZI – The Libyan Government provided accommodation for all Libyan citizens stranded in Egypt until the end of the quarantine period and confirming they were free of the Corona virus (COVID-19) disease.

This came on the basis of the immediate instructions issued by the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government, Abdullah al-Thani, on Friday, regarding the arrangement for accommodation for Libyan citizens stranded in Tunisia and Egypt.

The Libyan government announced the arrangement of accommodation for 650 citizens stranded in Tunisia, after the embassies of the Tripoli-based Government of “National Accord” (GNA) had abandoned them following the decree to close all ports to confront the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Libyan government also announced that it would provide accommodation for all those stranded at the border crossing with Egypt until the end of the quarantine period and confirming they were free of the pandemic.
