TRIPOLI – At least 200 migrants in six detention centers in Libya received primary health assistance on Thursday from medical teams of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
According to IOM, migrants received screenings for Tuberculosis as well as checks for COVID-19 symptoms.
IOM also aided the migrants with relief items including winter clothing, food, blankets, and hygiene kits.
The distribution in Tripoli was coordinated by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Libya, and conducted by the Libyan Red Crescent.
