After Benghazi, LNA to establish four other field hospitals to confront Coronavirus, Photos

Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, General Commander the National Army, directed the establishment of four field hospitals, as a precautionary measure to counter the Coronavirus epidemic and limit its spread in Libya.

According to the LNA’s media office, the field hospitals will be established in the cities of Ajdabiya, Sebha, Sirte, and Zintan, with a capacity of 50 beds for each, and covered from the budget of the Libyan National Army. The LNA has also allocated more than half a million dollars to import liquefied oxygen to support a number of hospitals in Benghazi.

The LNA had completed the construction of a field hospital in Benina Airbase, east of Benghazi, with a capacity of one hundred beds fully equipped to accommodate possible cases of Coronavirus. It had also formed a Supreme Committee to combat the Coronavirus and deployed its units in the cities it controlled to support curfew and the Ministry of Health in preventive measures to limit the spread of the virus.
