Leader in GNA militias seriously injured and transferred to Turkey on private plane

The leader in the militias of the Tripoli-based Government of Fayez al-Sarraj (GNA), Ibrahim Rufaida, was seriously injured in Abu Qarain axis south-east Misrata and transferred to Turkey on a private plane.

Abu Qrain axis witnesses conflict between GNA militias, supported by Turkey, and the forces of the Libyan National Army (LNA), led by Field Marshal Khalifa Hafter, which has launched since May 2014 a comprehensive operation to liberate Libya from terrorist and criminal militias.

LNA controlled the whole eastern and southern regions of the country, in addition to most of the western region.

LNA’s current operations are conducted for liberating Tripoli and Misrata, the last heavens for terrorist and outlaws, represented in local militias and Syrian mercenaries that Turkey brought to support the militias in their battle against LNA forces.

Turkey also supports the militias with drones, weapons, ammunition, and experts.

Yesterday, Turkey launched a missile from marine vessel in the Mediterranean that landed in Ajailat town west of Tripoli, but caused no damages or injuries.
