LNA spokesman: 50 Turkish soldiers killed in Libya so far

The Address | Benghazi – Libya

TRIPOLI – Twenty Turkish soldiers were killed in air strikes by the Libyan National Army (LNA) in the western city of Misurata on Wednesday, said General Brigadier Ahmed al-Mesmari, the spokesman of LNA’s General Command.

In press statements on Wednesday, Al-Mesmari said that the death of those soldiers brings Turkey’s death toll to more than 50 soldiers killed in Libya.

Syrian militants as well as Turkish troops were deployed by Ankara to Tripoli in effort to aid the Tripoli-based Government of National Accord (GNA), whose militias have been fighting LNA since April last year.
