The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, renewed his call to end the fighting in Libya, noting that the Arab League condemns foreign military intervention in Libya.

Aboul Gheit expressed his regret over the continued fighting, “which led to the stalling of the peace efforts sponsored by the United Nations Mission in Libya and resulted in hundreds of casualties.” He also called for “silencing the guns so that national efforts can be focused on facing the dangers of the spread of the Coronavirus.”
